In the late 1940s, Twatt’s father, along with other scientists, had created a miniature galaxy in chambers deep beneath the Cheddar countryside. A miniature galaxy into which groups of settlers flew. After decades it seems time to visit the “Twatt-verse” and see how things have gone. 

Tomas thinks it’s all a joke...

until he is miniaturised! 

The duo find the entrance to the mini-verse mined and then their craft crash-lands on the first planet they approach.

 They find what seems to be a barren, frozen world —until captured by a group of survivors and a story is told of betrayal, sabotage and a great “Worm” that devastates cities.

Welcome and a Few Words

First a few words.

The POD (Print On Demand) company used has had a few problems with its site. It does not affect books but you might notice missing cover art. I can assure you that if you order a book you get the book with full cover -I know because I just ordered copies of the books that were affected and they look perfect.

All of Black Towers' books, whether illustrated text such as Some Things Strange And Sinister or comic albums such as The Purple Hood are all designed to give the buyer a good quality product that will last.

All books are printed A4 (8.27 x 11.69 in / 210 x 297 mm), in Premium Black & White, 60# White with a full colour Glossy Cover.  This means that the interior is printed on what is almost a thin card stock so they are durable.

The cover price you see is the bare minimum.  With POD the POD company takes a percentage and, of course, the printers have to be paisd for printing. It means that I, as publisher, need to sell a good few books or copies of a title to see any profit...oh, and as the POD is in the United States I have to pay US taxes.

There is nothing I can do about postal charges!

There should be no concern that overseas postage has to be paid on orders.  Basically, the POD has printers all over the world so if you are in France a French printer does the job and that means postal charges are for your area. Ditto if you are in Finland, Germany, Belgium, Spain or Russia and I even send copies to a contributor in Japan at LOCAL rates.

Black Tower Comics and Books is no longer "The UKs Largest Publisher of Independent Black and white comics" it is international in keeping with the POD system.
